KACP Biennial Scientific Conference 2025

The KACP Biennial Scientific Conference 2025 was held from 29 to 31 October 2025 at Pride Inn Shanzu, Mombasa. It brought pathologists, residents, laboratory scientists and allied health professionals together to take stock of where laboratory medicine stands in Kenya today and where it is heading.

Theme: Pathology and Laboratory Medicine: The Present and the Future.

Sub themes

• What is New: Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence
• One Health: Climate Change and Emerging Infectious Diseases
• Expanding Access: Point of Care Testing (POCT)
• Precision Medicine: From the Lab to the Bedside
• Forensic and Autopsy Pathology: Emerging Trends
• Legal and Health Policy in Pathology Practice
• Transplant Pathology and Immunology: Outlook for Kenya

A call for abstracts of up to 250 words ran ahead of the conference, and the deadline was extended beyond 30 August 2025 so that more members and trainees could take part. Registration was open to member and non member pathologists, residents and registrars, nurses and laboratory technologists, other cadres and day delegates, with early bird rates for those who registered by 31 July 2025.
