SUMMARY:KACP Biennial Scientific Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:The KACP Biennial Scientific Conference 2025 was held from 29 to 31 October 2025 at Pride Inn Shanzu\, Mombasa. It brought pathologists\, residents\, laboratory scientists and allied health professionals together to take stock of where laboratory medicine stands in Kenya today and where it is heading. \nTheme: Pathology and Laboratory Medicine: The Present and the Future. \nSub themes \n\nWhat is New: Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence\nOne Health: Climate Change and Emerging Infectious Diseases\nExpanding Access: Point of Care Testing (POCT)\nPrecision Medicine: From the Lab to the Bedside\nForensic and Autopsy Pathology: Emerging Trends\nLegal and Health Policy in Pathology Practice\nTransplant Pathology and Immunology: Outlook for Kenya\n\nA call for abstracts of up to 250 words ran ahead of the conference\, and the deadline was extended beyond 30 August 2025 so that more members and trainees could take part.
